POST-PRISON RESEARCH CENTER | NUPOC
It carries out studies that aim to characterize the population released from the Brazilian prison system, seeking to produce knowledge about their reality and the development of programs and public policies aimed at their reintegration into society.

Objectives
To build a center for research and the collection and dissemination of data on the situation of women who have left the prison system in the state of São Paulo. The proposal aims to map information such as family, housing, professional and educational situations, physical and mental health, support networks and bonds built after imprisonment, among others. It also proposes setting up a database of interviews with former prisoners to give voice to this reality, which has been rendered invisible by the exclusion generated by the Brazilian prison system.
