SOCIAL PROJECTS

AQUILOMBANDO
The Aquilombando project was born with the aim of strengthening quilombola communities and empowering the women who live there, using education in intellectual property rights and digital literacy as fundamental tools.
The initiative aims to preserve the rich cultural heritage of these communities, while also promoting financial autonomy and the creation of transformative economic opportunities. Quilombola women, who have historically symbolized resistance to racism and inequality, now have the knowledge and tools to protect their traditions and achieve greater economic independence.
The main aim of the project is to train these women in Intellectual Property, digital literacy and cultural preservation, enabling them to protect their cultural heritage and contribute to the financial autonomy of their communities. In addition, the aim is to identify and value local socio-cultural assets by offering theoretical and practical workshops on topics such as cultural preservation, the use of digital technologies and entrepreneurship. In the long term, the project aims to expand its reach by training local leaders who can replicate the initiative in other quilombola regions.
To achieve these objectives, the project follows a methodology structured in several stages. Initially, a socio-cultural mapping is carried out to understand the specific needs of each community. This is followed by workshops aimed at cultural preservation, technological training and the protection of traditional knowledge through Intellectual Property. Community involvement is an essential pillar, with the engagement of local leaders and the adaptation of activities to the particularities of each region. In the final phase, the project expands through the training of multipliers, women prepared to take the knowledge acquired to new communities.
